ORDER

The petitioner / wife seeks transfer of H.M.O.P.116 of 2025 pending on the file of the Principal Sub-Court, Chengalpattu, to the file of the Family Court, Chennai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that as on date, she is looking after 3 1⁄2 year old son and also employed as Data Entry Operator for a meagre salary in the Corporation of Chennai. So, she felt inconvenience to travel nearly about 120 kms. Therefore, she seeks transfer of the proceedings to the Family Court, Chennai.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner is having residence at Chennai and as on date, son is under her custody and she is employed in Corporation of Chennai. Considering all the circumstances and also considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court finds the reasons stated to be justifiable and is inclined to allow the transfer.

4. Accordingly, H.M.O.P.116 of 2025 pending on the file of the Principal Sub-Court, Chengalpattu, is withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Family Court, Chennai. The learned trial Judge is directed to issue notice to the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of

this order and thereafter proceed with the matter in accordance with law and dispose the same within a period of four months.

5. Accordingly, this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 12-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order RPP To
