ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.112 of 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent.

2.On the complaint lodged by Karunakaran, the police have registered a case in Crime No.112 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 448, 427, 324 and 506(i) of IPC on 15.02.2018 against Vishal (A1), Rajkumar and others. 3.On the complaint lodged by Vishal, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.113 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 147, 448, 294(b) and 506(i) of IPC against Karunakaran and his family members.

4.This petition has been filed by Vishal and another to quash the FIR on the ground that they have been falsely implicated.

5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that when Vishal has lodged a complaint earlier, based on which, a petition enquiry was conducted in C.S.R.No.155 of 2018. Since this is a case in counter, the FIR in Crime No.112 of 2018 cannot be quashed.

Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vadapalani, Chennai, is also directed to monitor the investigation in Crime No.112 of 2018, Crime No.113 of 2018 and C.S.R.No.155 of 2018.
