ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to allot him light duty based on his representation dated 06.04.2024.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is working as a Driver in the respondent Corporation. While so, when he was working in his agricultural field, he suffered injury in his left leg. Therefore, there is some difficulty for him to continue his duty as Driver.

3. In the respondent corporation, there is a procedure by which a person can be assigned with light duty. The petitioner can be referred to the appropriate Medical Board and only if the Medical Board finds that the petitioner will not be able to discharge his duty as Driver and recommends

for grant of light duty, the petitioner will be granted light duty.

4. In view thereof, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.04.2024 and refer him to the appropriate Medical Board and take a decision in accordance with law and policy, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
