ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction the respondent herein to register the complaint dated 09.12.2014 given by the petitioner to the respondent police.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. It is seen that the complaint dated 09.12.2014 has been given to the Commissioner of Police. Now, the present petition has been filed for a direction to the Commissioner of Police to register an FIR.

4. In the considered opinion of this Court, the present petition cannot survive on the ground of laches. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to go in person and lodge a fresh complaint to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai and on receipt of such a complaint, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Central Crime Branch is directed to nominate a competent officer in the rank of Sub Inspector of Police, for enquiry. In view of the above, the criminal original petition is closed.
