Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking direction to the respondents herein to register a case in-pursuance of the complaints dated 08.12.2014 and 28.01.2015 in accordance with law. This Criminal Original Petition is filed, seeking direction upon the respondents herein to register a case in pursuance of the complaints dated 08.12.2014 and 28.01.2015 in accordance with law.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-Police .

It is alleged by the petitioner that while he and one Parvathiraja were working in Male, the said Parvathiraja, cheated him to the tune of 4540 US $, (equivalent to Rs.70,000/-) and fled to India. Regarding the said act of fraud, the petitioner lodged a complaint to the High Commissioner of India, Male ( Maledives). The said complaint has been referred by Indian High Commissioner, Male, to the Tamil Nadu Director General of Police, Commissioner of Police, and District Superintendent of Police, for enquiry. On the reading of the communication of the Indian High Commissioner, Male, dated 20.04.2014, it is seen that the said Parvathiraja is a resident of Virudunagar, and he is employed at Chennai.

In the aforesaid circumstances of the case, the petitioner has to lodge a fresh complaint to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, enclosing a copy of the communication of the Indian High Commissioner, Male (Maledives) dated 20.04.2014, and on such complaint being lodged, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, is directed to allot the complaint to any one of the Teams attached to Central Crime Branch, for enquiry.

With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
