By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal.
2. The petitioners would state that the land, admeasuring an extent of 1 acre 37 cents in Survey No.197/2, situated in Irunkattukottai Village, Sriperumpudhur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, originally belonged to one Chinna Kozhandai, and he had four sons. Patta was issued in the name of the eldest son, namely, Ponnan, and, subsequently, family partition took place, wherein all of them got respective shares and were enjoying the property in terms of the shares allotted to them.

further state that the demise of their grandfather, their father, namely, Ethiraj, succeeded to the estate and he also died on 07.09.1997. Thereafter, the petitioners succeded to the estate and divided the property among themselves and are enjoying the same.
3. That being the factual position, the petitioners submitted a representation, dated 03.07.2015, to the respondents, for issuance of new pattas and since no orders have been passed thereon, the petitioners have come forward to file this Writ Petition.
4. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel for the petitioners; and Mr.S.V.Durai Solaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents.
5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the case, directs the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation, dated 03.07.2015, in accordance with law, and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and communicate the decision taken to the petitioners.
