ORDER
Mr.U.Bharanidharan, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for R1 and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ petition, even at the stage of admission. In light of the fact that the interests of R2 has been duly protected by virtue of the directions given, no notice is given to R2.
2. The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent, i.e., the Tenancy Record Officer/Tahsildar, Anthiyur Taluk, Erode District to dispose petition dated 08.11.2023, which, at the time of institution of this writ petition, had not been numbered.
3. This writ petition was instituted on 23.04.2024 and has come up for admission only today. In the interim period, steps appear to have been taken by R1 and a notice has been issued on 06.05.2024 to the writ petitioner as well as to R2.
4. In light of the fact that the institution of the writ petition has itself achieved the desired result, learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to pursue the same any longer and has made an endorsement withdrawing the same. However, she would request, apprehending delay in disposal of the matter, that the Court may direct the respondents to complete the proceedings in a time bound manner. 2/4
5. Hence, mandamus is issued to R1 to hear the petitioner as well as R2 and dispose the petition within a period of four (4) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
