O R D E R

The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 03.04.2019 in pursuant to provide the separate water and drinking connection to the petitioner's property situated at No.8/92, Sadaiappa 2nd Street, Otteri, Chennai 600 012.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner made a representation dated 03.04.2019 to the respondent for providing a separate water and drinking connection to his property.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has to make an application to the second respondent in proper format and if such application in the prescribed format is submitted, the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

4. Taking note of the facts of the case, it is seen that the petitioner has not submitted his application in the prescribed format and therefore, the request of the Petitioner has not been considered so far. In such circumstances, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now by this court. In any event, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh application in the prescribed format. If any such application is made by the Petitioner, the respondents on receipt of the same, shall consider the said application on merits and in accordance with law. This order will not in any way restrain the Petitioner to submit fresh application and at the same time, restrain the respondents to consider the same and pass orders.

5. The writ petition stands dismissed with the above observation. No costs.
