This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file a final report on the petitioner's complaint dated 09.05.2015 in Crime No.142 of 2015.

2. A complaint was registered in respect of the death of one Vigneshkumar stating that the petitioner's younger son K.Vignesh Kumar was doing B.E. Engineering Course in Jaya Institute of Technology, Kanchipadi Village and he was found dead in the well situated inside the college campus and it was found that due to the non-maintenance of the ground level well by the college authorities, the petitioner has lost his son. The said case was registered under section 174 Cr.P.C. Though the complaint was registered in Crime No.144 of 2015, the respondent police has not taken action and there is no progress. Hence, the present petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation is going on and it would take some time to complete the investigation and to file the final report.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.142 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
