This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file the final report in Crime No.236 of 2009 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The case of the petitioner is that on 12.03.2009 at around 4.45 p.m. when she was standing at Kamarajapuram bus stand near Pammal to go to her relative's marriage at Poonamallee along with her mother and grandmother, two persons came in a motorcycle near the petitioner and snatched her gold aaram weighing 5 sovereigns and sped away. The petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police and the same was registered in crime No.236 of 2009 but till date there is no progress. Hence, the present petition.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the accused are unknown persons and therefore, it would take some time to complete the investigation.

5. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file a final report as early as possible. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
