PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to pay the 1/5

ORDER
By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.05.2023 and direct the second respondent to pay the balance due of Rs.14,15,068/- payable to the petitioner with 12% interest.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he is a manufacturer and supplier of food products. During Covid-19 Pandemic the second respondent herein had directed the petitioner herein to supply foods and some refreshments to the Covid Patients who have taken treatment in Bharathi Arts & Science college, Broad way Chennai. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent has not made the payment for 2/5
the invoices raised by the petitioner and there was a balance payment of Rs.14,15,068/-. Hence the petitioner gave representations to the Regional Deputy Commissioner, to the first respondent and to the Chief Minister cell on 07.02.2022,23.05.2023 and 10.08.2023 respectively. However, the representations were not considered. Hence this petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders.
5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that they will consider the case of the petitioner and take action in the manner known to law.
6. Considering the facts of the case, this Court directs the petitioner to produce all the necessary particulars required by the respondents and on receipt of the particulars the respondents are directed to verify the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
7. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
