Respondent Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to conduct the dance programme at No.251/6, A.M.Street, New Town, Vaniyampadi Taluk, Vellore District, for the festival of Sri Thesamariamman Koil Thiruvila on 15.08.2015, based on the representation, dated 31.07.2015.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the Dharmakakrtha of Sri Thesariamman Koil, at 251/6, A.M.Street, New Town, Vaniyampadi Taluk, Vellore District, and also head of the Organising Committee of the said temple festival. He submitted a representation, dated 31.07.2015, to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct a dance programme on 15.08.2015, for the event of Sri Thesariamman Koil festival, and, since he has not been favoured with any response, he has come come forward to file this Writ Petition.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the event of the permission being granted, there will not be any law and order problem and also no obscenity and vulgarity will be in place. Accordingly, he prays for appropriate orders.

4. Heard Mr.N.Roofus Abraham, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents.

5. This Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation

of the petitioner, dated 31.07.2015, in accordance with law, and inform the decision taken thereon to the petitioner, on or before 13.08.2015.
