This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the First Information Report based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 02.09.2015 within a stipulated time.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against his wife Bhanupriya, daughter of Rajendran and others. On 30.08.2015, at about 12.30 p.m, the said Bhanupriya and her father Rajendran and her mother Usha and another person, namely ,Meenakshi Sundaram, son of Panneer belongs to Sembanarkoil and another person,Rajkumar, had forcibly entered into the parent's house of the petitioner and severely attacked the petitioner on his nose and caused blood injuries and the said persons attacked the petitioner's mother Selvamni also. The petitioner was admitted in the hospital. Hence, he lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 02.09.2015. Since no action was taken till date, the present petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that if a fresh complaint is given by the petitioner to the respondent police, necessary action will be taken.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to give a fresh complaint to the respondent police within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the said complaint, the respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry and if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, the respondent police is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

5. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
