O R D E R

The petitioner who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 466, 468, 471 and 120(B) of IPC in Crime No.221 of 2025, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner on the pretext of securing house through Tamil Nadu Housing Board under the physically challenged quota had collected a sum of Rs.1,80,38,000/- from several victims and thereby cheated them. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide to any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/4

5. The learned counsel appearing for the defacto complainant submitted that the petitioner had received a sum of Rs.1,80,38,000/- on the pretext of allotting shops under the physically challenged quota. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering the magnitude of the amount involved in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
