O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 24.04.2021 and issue patta in favour of him.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner has purchased the property in Survey No.8/2, situate at Pallikaranai Village, Sholinganallur Taluk from one Santhanam admeasuring an extent of 10.8 cents in the year 2009. Thereafter, he has filed an application seeking for patta as early as on 24.04.2021 before the 2nd respondent and the same was duly acknowledged by the 2nd respondent. But, so far, the petitioner's application was not considered and no order has been passed in it. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Mr.S.Ramachandran, learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that, after filing application, a Taluk Surveyor has also visited the land and surveyed the land. Thereafter, no order has been passed. Hence, the 2nd respondent may be directed to pass orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application and to pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
