ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC in Crime No.18 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had received a sum of Rs.9.50/- lakhs from the defacto complainant promising to get a Government job; and that the petitioner is a retired employee of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation, Chennai. Hence, the case.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was earlier granted anticipatory bail in Crl.O.P.No.4312 of 2024 on 11.03.2024; that the petitioner failed to surrender and execute sureties as ordered by this Court;

and that the petitioner is now willing to comply with any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court and sought for anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, reiterated the case of the prosecution and on instructions submitted, that the petitioner had not complied with the conditions imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.4312 of 2024 on 11.03.2024.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent, and perused the records.

6. Considering the fact that the petitioner has not complied with the conditions imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.4312 of 2024 dated 11.03.2024, this Court is not inclined to entertain this second petition.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 29-04-2025 gbi Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
