O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family on her complaint dated 20.08.2020.

2. Heard Mr.D.Nandhagopal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is fell in love with one Balaji and got married on 20.08.2020 at Puthu Koil Temple at Kasturiba Nagar, Adyar, Chennai. Now, she is living with him happily. Both are belonged to different communities, therefore, the 3rd respondent refused to allow the petitioner to their house and trying to assault the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner and her husband Balaji and also threatening them to commit Honour Killing. In order to protect themselves from the 3rd respondent, the petitioner has lodged complaint before the 2nd respondent on 20.08.2020 against the 3rd respondent for seeking police protection from the 3rd respondent.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the compliant lodged by the petitioner, she was issued CSR number and the enquiry was conducted and the petitioner was enquired and it is also revealed that the petitioner fall in love with one Balaji and they are living separately. After closing the compliant lodged before the 2nd respondent by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent duly instructed and warned the 3rd respondent not to interfere with the life of the petitioner and her husband.

5. Considering the above submissions, if any complaint is given by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
