ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge for SC/ST Cases, Chengalpattu District to consider the petitioners bail application, preferably on the same day of their surrender in connection with Cr.No.76 of 2026..

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials on record. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned

3. It is the case of the petitioners that the first petitioner and the defacto complainant entered into an inter-caste love marriage and lived happily for sometime. Subsequently, matrimonial discord arose between them. Hence, the defacto complainant lodged a false complaint against the first petitioner and other petitioners, who are his in-laws, resulting in the registration of an FIR in Crime No.76 of 2026.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the present case.

In view of the above factual position, there shall be a direction to the Principal District and Sessions Judge for SC/ST Cases, Chengalpattu to consider the petitioners' bail application, preferably on the same day of their surrender, in connection with Crime No. 76 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (PoA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court concerned within a period of fifteen days from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order.
