With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.03.2024, seeking restoration of the classification of her property.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that the property in S.No.122, Kaanagam Village, Velachery Taluk, Chennai, was originally purchased by her husband in the year 1968 and he was in possession of the said property; her husband died intestate on 06.03.1996, leaving behind the petitioner and their children as his legal heirs; while so, the patta issued in her favour was cancelled holding that the property is a Government poramboke land. In this regard, the petitioner sent a representation dated 2/4

09.03.2024, requesting the respondents to restore the classification of her property and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that since the authorities had already cancelled the patta, it is for the petitioner to file an appropriate appeal.

6. In such view of the matter, the respondent is directed to serve a copy of the patta cancellation proceedings to the petitioner within a month from today, enabling her to challenge that proceedings in the manner known to law.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 05.06.2024 gya Index : Yes/No 3/4
