ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the relevant file pertaining to File No.04207 dated 10.12.2009 is not available. He would submit that the system of receiving application has been changed. Learned counsel for the respondent would further submit that as and when the petitioner applies for passport in the prescribed form, the same will be processed in accordance with law.

2.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent, the petitioner is at liberty to give a fresh application. On such application being made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to take appropriate action expeditiously by taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner's first application was made in the year 2009. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
