This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay difference in salary for the period from 01.01.2022 to 31.8.2025 with 10 percent interest to the petitioner.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents to pay difference in salary for the period from 01.01.2022 to 31.8.2025 with 10 percent interest to the petitioner"

2. Though the aforesaid relief is claimed in this writ petition the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice directions are issued to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2025.

3. Heard the learned counsels and perused the records.

4. In the order in proceedings dated 31.12.2020, it has been clearly held that the petitioner's basic pay has been reduced to the base level for a period of 1 year with effect from 01.01.2021, which means that the basic pay had been reduced for the period from 01.01.2021 till 31.12.2021 and from 01.01.2022, he is entitled to be reverted back to his basic pay.

However, the restoration has been made only in the month of September 2025. Hence, the petitioner is entitled to difference of pay from 01.01.2022 till August 2025 as per the order referred above.

5. Accordingly, the representation of the petitioner dated 09.12.2025, shall be disposed of within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
