Writ Petition filed under Section 226 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 11.8.2017 and two petitions filed by the petitioner herein dated July 2018, February 2019 and December 2019 within a time to be stipulated by this Court after hearing the petitioner/her counsel.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on the Appeal filed by the petitioner on 11.08.2017 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her lands were acquired by the High Ways Department and compensation was fixed by the first respondent. Not being satisfied with the quantum of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

compensation fixed by the first respondent, the petitioner has filed an Appeal/raised arbitration proceedings before the 2nd respondent on 11.08.2017. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 2nd respondent has not conducted any enquiry till date and the proceedings are pending. Left with no other alternative, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Heard Mr.K.Krishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Raja, learned Addl. Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 11.08.2017 strictly in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The 2nd respondent shall afford sufficient opportunity to the petitioner and the National Highways Department at the time of enquiry before passing the final order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
