ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to transfer the investigation of his complaint dated 08.06.2017 pending on the file of the third respondent to any other competent police officers and further to direct the second respondent to monitor the said investigation. 2.Heard Mr.M.Babu Muthu Meeran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.P.Kritika Kamal (Criminal Side) learned counsel for the respondents.

3.On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the case pertains to land dispute, based on the petitioner's complaint, the case has been investigated and the same is in progress. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) further submitted that if a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation within a stipulated time is granted, the same would be complied. 4.Though the prayer sought for by the petitioner is to transfer the investigation from the third respondent, as there is not much progress in the investigation, to meet the ends of justice, this Court directs the third respondent to complete the investigation on the petitioner's complaint within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the same shall be monitored by the second respondent/Assistant Commissioner of Police, Tambaram.

5.In the result, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed with the above observation and direction.
