ORDER

This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.3.2026 for opening a web portal for faculty data uploading and subsequently to cause a fresh inspection and permit the petitioner to admit fresh and lateral entry students for the academic year 2026-27.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel accepting notice for respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Additional Government Pleader accepting notice for the third respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is as follows:

(i) The petitioner college has been functioning from the academic year 2013. On account of certain deficiencies, the first respondent had not granted affiliation for the academic year 2025-26. As the order rejecting affiliation was passed only after the last date of grant of affiliation as mandated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the petitioner college could not admit the students for the said period. (ii) Challenging the rejection order dated 28.8.2025 issued by the second respondent, the petitioner filed W.P.No.34324 of 2025 before this Court. The said writ petition was disposed of on 11.11.2025 by directing the petitioner to rectify all the defects pointed out and submit a fresh proposal to the second respondent.

Pursuant to that, the petitioner was stated to have rectified all the defects and submitted a fresh proposal dated 06.1.2026 in the office of the first respondent for the academic year 202526. In the said proposal dated 06.1.2026, the petitioner stated that they recruited new faculty members for fresh affiliation for the academic year 2026-27.

4. The representation of the petitioner is only dated 23.3.2026. However, considering the plight of the students and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to consider the said representation of the petitioner dated 23.3.2026 on merits and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
