PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner and her husband and his family members from the life threat of the 3rd respondent by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2020. O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner and her husband and his family members from the life threat of the 3rd respondent by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2020.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner fell in love with one Ashok and they got married before the temple. Since both of them are belong to different community, the 3rd respondent is being the own father of the petitioner herein, objected their marriage and now threatening them for honour killing. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with the prayer to provide police protection for her husband and his family members at the hands of the 3rd respondent.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on receipt of the complaint dated 27.08.2020, the respondent police conducted enquiry. Further he would submit that the petitioner got married with one Ashok and they are living in their house. Both the petitioner as well as her husband are belong to different community. Hence they seek police protection from the hands of the 3rd respondent-father of the petitioner herein.

4.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the 2nd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband and his family members. Further, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the investigation on the complaint dated 27.08.2020 lodged by the petitioner, after calling upon the 3rd respondent for enquiry and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
