By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner would state that he studied B.A.,(Economics) in Annamalai University during 1999 and obtained M.A., from the same University during 2001 and thereafter, he did B.Ed., in S.V.University during 2009 and also passed Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test with 93 out of 150 vide Roll NO.12TE26255069. The petitioner applied to the respondent for selection and he was not considered for the reason that he did double Degree/ bridge course during the year 2008 at Annamalai University. The petitioner has passed B.A., English from Madurai Kamaraj University during 2014 and the duration of the course is three years.

3.The petitioner would further state that in the light of the judgment dated 26.04.2013 made in W.P.No.6487 of 2013 (G.Menaka Vs. Government of Tamilnadu, rep., by Secretary to Government, School Education Department, Fort St. George, Chennai 600 009 and two others), a pass in Teachers Eligibility Test is valid for seven years https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and therefore, he submitted a representation dated 25.05.2015 to the respondent to consider his candidature for selection and since, no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition. 4.Heard the submissions of Mr.V.Bhiman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 5.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the claim projected in this writ petition as well as in the petitioner's representation directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. 6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
