O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take adequate precautionary measures and to provide necessary police protection, for the "Kumbabishekam" festival to be held on 03.06.2022, for Sri Vinayagar, Sri Orathur Karupiya Swamy, Sri Sapthakannimargal Temple, in Nuthapur Village, Vepanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. Let me not enter into a detailed discussion on the facts. I am confident that the police officials would, as they always do, grant protection for conducting Kumbabishekam festival, in which there is no illegal object. If ever, there are any opposing groups, let them all be called for a discussion and thereafter let necessary protection be granted and the Kumbabishekam festival be proceeded with in the manner appropriate. A direction is given not only to the petitioner, but, to all the village people who are interested in the Kumbabishekam being conducted, that they should cooperate with the Police Officials and also with the Revenue Officials and also abide with any orders passed either by the Police or by the Revenue Officials.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
