Respondents Writ petition have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the list of persons of Amullaivayal Village, Manali, Ambattur Circle, Thiruvallur District, eligible to get re-allotment of house sites published by the 2nd respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.117/91A dated 16.02.2006 and direct the 3rd respondent to issue Certificate of Eligibility for Re-allotment house sites to the Petitioner.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the second respondent to include his name in the list of persons eligible to get re-allotment of house sites and to issue certificate of eligibility.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that the project itself has been abandoned and hence, the writ petition may be closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned for appropriate relief, for which, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.

3.In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition stands closed, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned with a fresh representation as and when required. On such approach, the authority concerned shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
