Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents, particularly the third respondent i.e., the Child Development Project Officer, Olakkur Panchayat Union, Tindivanam Taluk to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.09.2017 which relates to the appointment of Anganvadi Assistant post in Melpettai Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District or in any other village in Olakkur Union. ORDER

The petitioner has wrongly come to this Court without even knowing the results of the selection to the post of Anganwadi Assistant in Melpettai Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District. When the petitioner was invited to take part in the selection for the said post, she had also appeared for the said selection on 8.9.2017. It is an admitted fact that the respondents, till date, have not finalised the candidates for the said post. Therefore, a writ cannot be issued to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondents to consider her case. When no order has been passed either ignoring or selecting somebody for the post, it is not for the petitioner to come to this Court at this level. It is not only a premature one, but there is no cause of action. Although the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a physically challenged person, it does not mean that the Court can go out of the way to help her. Therefore, the prayer is refused and the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
