Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Declaration to declare the petitioner's land in Survey No.1137/1 in Pattaraiperumbudur Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District, lying within the Registration District of Thiruvallur and Sub-Registration District of Thiruvalankadu as "Punjai" instead of "Tharisu" and consequently direct the respondents herein to make suitable changes in the appropriate Revenue records within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner claims to be the owner of the land in Survey No.1137/1, Pattraiperumbudur Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District. It is his specific grievance that the classification of the said land had been wrongly done as Government (Tharisu) land, the fact being that it is a private land (Punjai). Hence, he made a detailed representation, dated 10.04.2015 to the respondents in that regard and as no orders are passed on the same, he filed this Writ Petition. Without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the second respondentTahsildar to pass orders on the above said representation, with the instructions of the first respondent-District Collector, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and if any aggrieved parties, within a period of six https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order or within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order by the petitioner enclosing the copy of the above said representation. No costs.
