Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to pass orders on the Review Petitions filed by the petitioners on 04.04.2019 under Section 217-K of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920.

COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.S.Kamalesh Kannan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for respondent no.1, as also Mr.P.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for respondent no.2. 2.The case of the petitioners is that they have preferred review petitions on 04.04.2019 under Section 217-K of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920. The prayer of the petitioners in these petitions is that respondent no.1 be directed to pass orders on the said review petitions. 3.In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioners, without going into the merits of the matter, we direct the respondent no.1 to consider the review petitions filed by the petitioners and pass orders thereon within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitions are disposed of in above terms. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.13339, 13340, 13350 and 13353 of 2019 stand closed.
