[Respondents ] Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to forthwith issue orders promoting the petitioner herein notionally on par with his juniors based on the integrated seniority list of R.W.O. Grade-I / Assistant published on 20.07.1995 and consequently re-fix the last drawn pay of the petitioner in the scale of pay applicable for the post of Assistant Director of Rural Development and extend all monetary benefits including arrears of pay and difference in pension with due interest to the petitioner herein in accordance with law.

The petitioner worked as a Rural Welfare Officer and on attaining the age of superannuation retired from service. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the first respondent considered the case of his juniors and promoted them. The petitioner has cited the instance https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
of Thiru R.Gurusamy, who is stated to be his junior having got promoted vide order dated 31.1.2008. The petitioner having found that he is similarly situated, submitted a representation on 24.7.2014, requesting the first respondent to promote him as done in the case of his juniors. The present request is to direct the respondents to consider his representation on merits.
2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.7.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. The connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
