Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take necessary action against the illegal functioning of the 6th respondent namely Little Pumpkien Play School at No.43, 6th Cross Street EVP Santhosh Nagar, Ramapuram, Chennai-89 which is functioning in a residential Apartment without recognition and without following the Tamil Nadu Private Schools (Regulation) Rules, 2023.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 5 to take action against the 6th respondent school, which is functioning without recognition and without following the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Private Schools (Regulation) Rules, 2023.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the recognition granted to the 6th respondent school has lapsed and as on date, the 6th respondent play school is running without any recognition and/or permission.
3. Learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the authority concerned would inspect the sixth respondent school and take necessary action if the same is functioning without any recognition/permission granted by the competent authority. Learned State Government Pleader further submitted that necessary action
would be taken within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
4. Recording the submission made by learned State Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.14033 of 2024 is closed. (R.M.D., ACJ.) (M.S.Q., J.) 03.06.2024 Index :
