Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to initiate appropriate action as per Section 20 of the Right to Information Act, 2005, against the third respondent by considering the representations dated 30.05.2023 and 29.09.2023 and consequently direct the third respondent to furnish the information 1/4

required as per his application 4370/SCIC/2022, dated 17.12.2022 to the petitioner.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction directing the respondents 1 and 2 to initiate appropriate action as contemplated under Section 20 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

2. The petitioner sought for information by application dated 31.01.2023. However, no information was provided and as such, the petitioner filed an appeal before the appellate authority/first respondent. The first respondent, by its communication dated 04.05.2023, informed that a direction to the third respondent has already been issued and if at all he has any grievance, he was advised to approach the second respondent. However, the said direction was not complied with by the 2/4

third respondent. As such, he once again approached the second respondent by his letters dated 30.05.2023 and 29.09.2023. Now, on receipt of the said letters from the petitioner, the third respondent has furnished all the informations sought for by the petitioner through his communication dated 05.06.2024. The third respondent has also produced a copy of the said letter dated 05.06.2024 and also the documents which were already furnished to the petitioner.

3. In view of the above, the direction as sought for by the petitioner cannot be considered and accordingly, the writ petition is closed. 09.08.2024 Index: yes/no rkm G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.
