ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to grant emergency leave for a period of 15 days to the petitioner's husband/convict prisoner, to attend puberty function of his daughter.

2. Rule 6 of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, does not provide grant of emergency leave to the prisoner to attend puberty function. Furthermore, under Rule 13, the maximum number of emergency leave that could be taken in a year is 15 days, out of which, the maximum period of leave that could be granted in one spell is only 6 days and therefore, on this ground also, the prayer sought for in this petition cannot be considered.
