O.A.No.680 of 2021 and E.L.P.No.7 of 2021 V. BHARATHIDASAN, J Today, this matter has been listed under the caption "For Being Mentioned" at the instance of Election Commission of India.

Mr.Niranjan Rajagopalan, learned counsel appearing for the Election Commission of India submitted that the EVMs used for the election in the above constituency is in their custody, and in view of the pendency of the election petition before this Court, they are not in a position to release the EVMs. Now, the election petition has been disposed of, therefore the Election Commission of India may be permitted to release the EVMs.

Considering the above circumstance, the Election Commission of India is permitted to release the EVMs used in the above said election. Registry is directed to carry out amendments and issue fresh copy.
