Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to pass orders on the petitioners' representation dated 12.03.2020 for grant of patta to their property at Survey No.403/9, Padaveedu Village, Kumarapalayam, Namakkal District to an extent of 2.96 acres punja land, within a stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. (The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 12.03.2020 for grant of patta to their property at Survey No.403/9, Padaveedu Village, Namakkal District within a time frame as fixed by this court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The grievance of the petitioners is that, they have purchased the property in Survey No.403/9, situate at Padaveedu Village, Kumarapalayam, Namakkal District to an extent of 2.96 acres by means of a registered sale deed on 01.12.2010. Thereafter, they have submitted an application before the 2nd respondent seeking for patta. But, so far, the petitioners' application was not considered and no order has been passed in it. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' application and to pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
