By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 15.03.2018 and issue patta for the property situated at Survey No.226/1, Door No.74 at Marketlane, Thiruvotriyur Village, Thiruvotriyur, Chennai - 600 019.
3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner's ancestors were in occupation of the said land for more than 70 years. Later the petitioner's name was entered in all records. Pursuant to the same, property tax was periodically paid by the petitioner, and he made construction in the said https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
property and hence, submitted the applications dated 02.02.2018 and 15.03.2018, requesting the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner. Since, no action was forthcoming, the petitioner is before this Court by this writ petition.
4. Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondent, submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's applications dated 02.02.2018 and 15.03.2018 and pass orders in accordance with law.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 02.02.2018 and 15.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
