Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to protect and save the life of the petitioner as per the representations dated 03.06.2016, 23.05.2017, 28.05.2017 and 29.09.2017 which is in great danger.

ORDER
The prayer sought for in the present petition is to direct the 3rd respondent to protect and save the life of the petitioner as per the representations dated 03.06.2016, 23.05.2017, 28.05.2017 and 29.09.2017 which is in great danger.
2. The petitioner who claims to be a social worker, apprehends threat to her life and liberty. The learned Additional Government Pleader was directed to get instructions on the alleged life threat to the petitioner.
3. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Government Pleader had produced a report dated 30.06.2017, from the Director General of Police, stating that after discreet enquiry, it was revealed that there is no life threat as alleged by the petitioner herein, warranting provision of 24 hours Armed PSO to the petitioner herein.
4. In view of the same, I do not find any reason as to why
the report of the Director General of Police can be over looked and police protection be extended. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
5. If at all the petitioner apprehends in future any threat to live with liberty, it is always open to the petitioner to approach the concerned police authority.
