Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation for issuance of approximate patta bearing S.No.86/2A to an extent of 2013 sq.ft., situated at Vada Aandapattu Village, Thiruvannamalai District in the petitioner's name, based on the petitioner's representation made to the respondents herein on 21.01.2021.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the poramboke land in Survey No.86/2A, Vada Aandapattu Villagefor more than 30 year. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Thereafter, he obtained electricity service connection and also put up a house. On 21.01.2021, the petitioner has made a representation before the District Collector/1st respondent seeking for assignment of the land. But, so far no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, and also the fact that the petitioner's representation, dated 21.01.2021 is pending with the 1st respondent, without going into the merits of the case, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2021 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving opportunity to the petitioner as well as other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
