M.MANIKANDAN [ RESPONDENT / PETITIONER / ACCUSED ] Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein the High Court will be pleased to call for records in Crl.MP.No.70 of 2021 on the file of the Learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet dated 29.06.2021, set aside the same and grant police custody to the respondent accused for a period of 5 days and thus render justice.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of MR.E. RAJTHILAK Govt. Advocate (Crl. Side) Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.K.S.DINAKARAN SENIOR COUNSEL FOR MR.BALAJI SANKARA MOORTHY Advocate on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- Today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the respondent was taken up for Police custody. Thereafter, the Police took the respondent to his residence at Anna Nagar, Madurai and the respondent produced one Samsung Mobile phone in presence of witnesses. The Samsung mobile phone was was seized by preparing Mahazar and Form-95.

2.Following the direction of this Court, the respondent was treated properly and he was handed back to the Jail authorities.
