Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to conduct an enquiry and issue patta in the name of the petitioners in respect of the property comprised in S.No.506/16 (Old S.No.30/6 and 7),situated at P.Vaduga Palayam village, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District to an extent of 1850 Sq.ft., in terms of provisions of Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act in pursuant to the applications dated Nil-11.2016 and a reminder dated 27.05.2017 sent by the petitioner to the respondent forthwith.

O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to conduct an enquiry and issue patta in their names in respect of the property comprised in S.No.506/16 (Old S.No.30/6 and 7), situated at P.Vaduga Palayam Village, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District, measuring an extent of 1850 Sq.ft., pursuant to the application dated Nil-11.2016 and a reminder dated 27.05.2017, sent by them to the respondent within a time frame. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that in spite of the petitioners' application given in the month of November 2016 and the reminder dated 27.05.2017, the respondent has not considered the same and issued patta to them.

3. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioners' application and the reminder, in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioners' application dated Nil.- 11-2016 and the reminder dated 27.05.2017 for the issuance of patta and pass orders in accordance with law, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order,after giving notice to all the interested parties.

5.With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
