ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction, to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.37 of 2021 for the punishable offence under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 324 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act, 2002 and file the final report within a time to be fixed.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No. 37 of 2021 for the offence under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 324 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Harassment Act, 2002, till date no final report has been filed by them.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the respondent police shall file a final report within a period of six months. 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side).

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is hereby directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
