Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the 2nd respondent dated 18.07.2015 and to quash the same and further direct the respondents to select and appoint the petitioners as Sub-Inspector of Police under 20% PSTM (persons studied in Tamil medium) quota.

C O M M O N O R D E R (Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) We are informed that the petitioners have failed to obtain the requisite marks in the written test. The second aspect raised in these petitions pertains to the benefit that the petitioners claim on having studied in Tamil Medium at school level, which aspect is covered by our order in W.P.No.27005 of 2015 (between D.Anbarasu vs. The Secretary to Govt., Home (Police) Dept.), decided on 08.09.2015 and only if the petitioners have ultimately qualified, would the occasion of preference have arisen.

2.Writ Petitions are, thus, dismissed. No costs. Consequently, M.P.Nos.1 and 2 of 2015 are also dismissed.
