O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the Trial Court to conclude the trial within time frame fixed by this Court in C.C.No.7954 of 2007 pending on the file of the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai 600 015.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that since the other accused are not appearing before the Trial Court, the trial has been protracted for more than 5 years and seeks direction to the Trial Court to expedite the trial. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel, there shall be a direction to the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai 600 015 to proceed with and dispose the case in C.C.No.7954 of 2007 as expeditiously as possible. In the event of other accused absconding, the Trial Court may take steps to split up the case, if necessary.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petitions stands disposed of.
