Mr.TNC.Kaushik, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondent and is armed with instructions to proceed with the matter. Hence, by consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal even at the stage of admission.

The prayer in this Writ Petition is for a mandamus directing the Assistant Commissioner, Sales Tax/sole respondent to furnish a certified copy of the assessment order for the period 2002-03, passed in terms of the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act, 2006 (in short 'Act').
