2. Though the third respondent has been served and her name printed in the cause list, no one entered appearance. Therefore, this court proceeds to decide the matter on merits.

3. Though the third respondent is in possession of the property and got electricity service connection, the petitioners are seeking electricity service connection only for a portion of the property which is under their occupation. When the petitioners are in lawful possession of the property, there should not be any problem for the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the petitioners.

4. In view of the above facts and circumstances, this court, on 04.09.2015 directed the second respondent to re-connect the electricity service connection to the petitioners on payment of arrears of Rs.230/- payable by the petitioners. Accordingly, the petitioners paid the arrears and the respondents also re-connected electricity service connection which was confirmed by the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

5. As the petitioners are entitled to electricity service connection and the same was already given by the respondents, recording the above fact, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar rgr To 1.The Chairman, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Anna Salai, Chennai.
