Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to facilitate the Petitioner in the erection of the Ring Main Unit along with a Distribution Transformer, in terms of the approval obtained from the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd.

O R D E R
The writ petition is filed for a direction to the 3rd respondent to facilitate the petitioner in the erection of the ring main unit along with distribution transformer in terms of the approval obtained from the respondent.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner wanted to shift the said unit along with the Distribution Transformers, as the petitioner proposes to build a Hospital. After due inspection and collection of charges from the 2/5
petitioner and when the work is now sought to be commenced, the same is not being allowed by the second respondent.
3. When the matter came up for admission, the Learned Counsel for the respondent brought to the notice of this Court that one Biswanath Samanta had filed W.P.No.10221 of 2025 objecting to the erection of the transformer in the earmarked place and this Court has passed an order dated 19.03.2025, directing the respondent (TANGEDCO), to pass orders after hearing the said person as well as the other residents and any person interested and relocate the transformer. It is pleaded in that case that the proposed place will cause inconvenience to the residents as the road itself will be blocked.
4. In view thereof, since now the petitioner submits that he has already paid the amount for shifting, in the very same process the petitioner shall also be heard. The authority shall inspect the site and also hear the petitioner as well as the writ petitioner in the said writ petition or any other person who may be interested and complete the exercise within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of this order and pass orders thereon in accordance with 3/5
law.
5. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 09.04.2025 bsm To,
