This Criminal Original Petition is filed, seeking direction to the respondents to register the complaint given by the petitioner dated 01.09.2015.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-Police.

Though the petitioner has annexed a copy of the complaint addressed to the second respondent/Inspector of Police, with a copy marked to the first respondent/District Superintendent of Police, at page No.24, of the typed set of papers filed in support of this Petition, no proof is available for having sent the same to the respondents. Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to go in person and lodge a fresh complaint before the second respondent/Inspector of Police. On receipt of such complaint, the second respondent/Inspector of Police is directed to enquire into the matter, and register a crime, if cognizable offence is made out, by following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
