This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner dated 07.08.2024 and to mutate the revenue records in the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.B.Manoharan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the subject property is presently classified as 'tharisu' and the petitioner wanted the said classification to be changed and also sought for issuance of patta.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 20.12.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
